I read it as, she has put some individual size servings of different things in her freezer and she grabs a random one so it's a "treasure" which one it is.

I also don't eat or drink before going to a doctor's office - ANY doctor's office (or at least those that I think will weigh me), and also wear the lightest clothes possible given the weather.  And I always take off my shoes before stepping on the scale.  I think it's so weird I still do this since, until the last two months, I ALWAYS weigh less than I did on my previous visit, but this habit is so ingrained that I keep doing it!!  (although I know it's a little different in your case because you want to weigh under 150 on his/her scale...)

I used to do that (I even took out my earrings!) but I suddenly realized just how unsustainable it is. I can not wear lighter clothes in the winter than the summer... none of it is real! So now I just wear what I wear, shoes and all, and trust that my scale at home is the one I am really judging against.

That's where I want to be one of these days! Comfortable with the scale!

I think that because at my last appointment (6mo) he was really kind of negative in a way about me saying that my goal was 145 (I was 172 then)... he gave me this little talk about how hard it will be, that I'll need to really work at it... blah blah blah... So today... he saw my weight - clothed - at 148.4, I asked him if he thought I might make that 145 in the next 3 months... and I said it with a ton of sarcasm... (and love, I do like my doc a lot!) He asked me where I wanted to be now, and I told him probably around 135 or so, but that I was just letting things go... he agreed that at my height 135-140 would be perfect... we'll see. Although, I think I will agree with him for now.

I just go by my scale too, it's the consistency of the same time, same place, same bat channel....

Best wishes at your appointment.  Not crazy at all.  I do the same thing.  Office opens at 8 a.m. and that's the appointment I want, but even so, like you, I'm usually playing catch up the rest of the day.  I usually start drinking (coffee that is) at 5:30 a.m. so it really gets pushed back.  And I take off as much as possible before stepping on the scale.  My center doesn't do 9 month so my next visit will be 12 mo.  (2 weeks after I get back from vacation) so I'm hoping I'll be able to loose the "vacation gain" in those 2 weeks time.  I love your posts as we are almost surgery sisters w/very similar starting stats.  This morning I was at 147.something (I only count the whole number).  I have a wellness check at work next week and am hoping to be under 150 with clothing for that visit.  I don't know about you, but the loss has really slowed the last month or so.  I'm happy to see a pound gone per week.

So my weight last month was pretty good at almost 9 lbs I think (I can't see my signature to get it right on)... but then I had a stall for 3 weeks, and thought this was going to be a really rotten month... but then this amazing thing happened... I lost a bunch all in a week, and it made this month over 7 lbs (again, I think since I can't see it as I type this)... I was shellshocked truth be told... I think that 3 week stall really scared me and I buckled up and hit the straight road hard for a few days and it jumpstarted things again. Lesson learned - for now anyway! LOL

You are rocking it too! You lost sooo much prior to surgery. THAT'S amazing!

I love this new life... I swear I know we all hear it on this board a lot, but honestly, I feel it too... this has been one of the best things I've ever done for myself! I hope I never lose the humbled feeling I get when I think about how far I've come.
