Almost there & getting married....

WOW....I can't believe that I am ONLY five days away from my so long awaited surgery day.  I am so confident in my God that all will work out great.  God's hands will be the ones guiding the doctor's.  For some inexplicable reason, I am not nervous about what is ahead of me with this surgery.  I am very calm about it and look forward to nothing but positive results - I have been blessed with a wonderful support group beginning with ALL my family, they have been the most terrific people to hold my hand through this, particularly my fiancee and my mother.  I also think that my strong faith in my Lord plays the biggest role of all.  By this time next week, I will be home resting and on the beginning of my new life.

On another note, my beau of nearly five years proposed to me last week.  What made it more special is how he did it, in a very romantic and old fashioned way down on his knees and later asking my mother for my hand in marriage.  Can you believe that??  I'm 40 years old and my mother is asked for my hand in marriage???  We have now set a date for November 25th (the day before Thanksgiving) at 3:00p.m.  We will have a very intimate, private, civil ceremony down a the courthouse and then have the church and big party sometime late next year or beginning 2011.  Nothing biggie for now since I will be recuperating from my surgery and in no particular mood to be partying.  We just want to make our union oficial while sorrounded by our most precious family members.

Well, that's it for now.  I will keep posting as things change.  Thanks again to my OH family - you too play a big role in my life through this journey as only you all can really understand and fully comprehend what I feel.
