What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?

Halfway point of the week!  Woo!  It's supposed to be a super nice fall day here today; like 73 degrees and sunny.  Plus the leaves are starting to change colors and it's just beautiful.  I...think I may be coming down with a cold.  Or something.  coughcough  Yeah, I think I need to leave early so I can "rest".

The saga with my son continues.  Neither my husband or I ever delete any e-mails, so we happened to have a tidy little chronology of every incident that we reported going back to January of 2015.  It goes back farther than that, but everything had been verbal.  So, since Father returned from his retreat on Monday, we sent him the whole e-mail trail and he is reviewing.  A decision is expected on Friday, and it had better damn well be to my satisfaction.  In the meantime, my son is going to shadow tomorrow at another Catholic school up the street from my job.  He's been out since last Thursday pending resolution of this whole ****storm and even though we are keeping up with his schoolwork, he is missing the classroom and the routine.  Sometimes being a parent totally sucks.

QOTD!  peanut butter:  creamy or chunky?  And don't even attempt to come at me with "I don't like peanut butter".  I won't hear of it.  Peanut butter in ALL forms is glorious and is def. my desert island food.

Time since surgery:  2 years, 2 months

B:  Light English muffin with PB and SF red raspberry preserves.  See?  PEANUT BUTTAH 4-LIFE

S:  1 oz. horseradish cheddar and an herb and garlic tuna pouch.  I'm going to torment my office mates with this snack and then breathe all over the people I don't like.  I am diabolical!

L:  deli turkey breast and ricotta cheese

D:  shrimp ****tail, y'all!  And lots of it.  Noms.

TOTALS:  Cals:  901  Protein:  96  Carbs:  53  Fat:  39

This is a decent menu, ifIdosaysomyself.

This will never likely happen again where I am one of the first to reply, but we have a 6 am flight which meant getting up very early. Like I have had 6 hours sleep in the last 3 days between driving straight from Vegas to work on Monday, trying to wrap up all of my work stuff, unpacking, doing laundry, repacking and getting everything done to be gone for 2 weeks. We have about 35 hours of travel ahead today so food is completely up in the air, but I will make good choices and I have lots of protein forward snacks in my carry on and even requested a low cal meal on the flights where we get meals.

I hope everything gets worked out to your satisfaction for your son. I can't imagine dealing with this.

QOTD Jif Super Chunk. Nothing else will do. I only ate peanut butter sandwiches through all of elementary school. No meat sandwiches, no lunch line. Back then it was creamy. And my Mom would whip it with honey and butter. Yummmo.

Well we are taking off now so I have to power down phone. 5 hour layover in Seattle in a couple of hours. Then two 12 hour flights. Looking forward to the adventure. Have a great day!

I have to add that my husband is already asleep and we haven't left the gate. I envy him. I don't sleep well on planes.

Creamy peanut butter is like whopped potatoes. There need to be little lumps in there.

I hate the yearly time shift. I took this picture of Christmas decorations being displayed at Home Depot yesterday. It's October 4th, for crying out loud.

Yeah, Macy's has their Christmas trees up, too.  It's distressing.

Also?  I am LOLing at "whopped" potatoes.

I saw Christmas stuff going up in AUGUST at our local Big Lots... I wanted to scream out loud right at that moment...

Let's get to celebrate things like Halloween and Thanksgiving before Santa makes his rounds!

Good morning everyone.

Kristen, I'm praying for the situation with your son, and especially for him during this ordeal. At the end of this he's going to know for sure how much you love him!

Ok, TMI. I hadn't pooped since Thursday and I was truly feeling miserable. I was up at 5 am to walk and couldn't do it because I felt so yuck. I've tried fiber, stool softeners, milk of magnesia, and last night ex lax. Nada. So off to the store this morning for suppositories. Instant relief.

Qotd: chunky all the way, although I've had to ban it from my plan cause I just can't stop!
