1 packet of Jay Robb Tropical Dreamsicle, 8 oz Fair Life Milk and 1 tsp Orange jello powder, sugar free.

Mix in a blender with a few ice cubes....walla! A creamsicle shake.

Tomorrow is my endoscopy.  This is the first time I've had this done.  I've had other surgeries before, but nothing where I wasn't put completely under. 

I'm a little nervous and don't know what to expect after.  Will I be able to eat something

I met with my NUT today. He was impressed with the amount of research I've done as well as prep. He also said the surgeons program does not have a puréed food stage. Woo hoo!

I'm pre-op for VSG.  So far, I've been eating well and not feeling any hunger or cravings....until yesterday. 

I haven't eaten an orange in probably 25 years, I just don't like them.  Yesterday, my husband and I were grocery shop

I was thinking about this last night while making dinner. 

After the surgery, when I'm feeling up to it of course, how am I going to handle tasting or not tasting the foods that I cook for my family? 

Today was my consultation with the surgeon and Nurse Navigator. Everything went really well!  I have appointments in place for the nutritionist, psychologist, and support groups. In two weeks, I will have an endoscopy.

I am all set for my consultation with the surgeon on Jan. 11.  This is moving fast....

Scary and excited, mostly terrified. 

My primary care physician said I'm a great candidate for the VSG program. He is sending a referral to the surgeon and I'm scheduled for a seminar on January 9.
