Today is the Day...

Hello everyone,
Today is the beginning of a new healthier me. Although I am excited about surgery, I more excited about the way God works. I was asked by a friend was I sure I'm making the right decision and I answered her yes. I explained that whatever I do in life I make sure I pray about it first and God always show me a sign. Well although all of this sounds good there is always a thought in the back of your mind is this the right thing. I met a co-worker that I have not seen in about a year and she told me she had gastric bypass surgery. We have the same insurance and she told me it took her 14 months to get approved and she was denied 4 times. Well at that moment I knew that God had answered my prayers because I started my process about 3 1/2 months ago. My insurance requires that you have 6 months of consecutive PCP visits regarding weight loss I had already 3 months in and had to finish the other months. I went to see a psychiatrist in November and the Dietitian in December. They submitted my request to the insurance company on January 5, 2009 and I was approved on January 7, 2009. So when my friend asked me was I doing the right thing...God showed me I was and he was in the plan.

2 Days Countdown!!!

I have two days before surgery. I am ready. I am looking forward the new changes. I know it wont be easy but I know I can do anything I put my mind to it.
